From One Transformative Weekend to a Lifelong Calling

I'll never forget the day I realized my passion was working with people in the outdoors. I was nineteen, a camp counselor at Girl Scout camp, when I volunteered to work with an inner city program one weekend.

The girls who arrived were guarded and fighting—verbally and physically. I was intimidated. I thought I was in over my head.

Then I watched their armor dismantle piece by piece as they worked through challenges on the low ropes course. By the end of the first night, these same girls were communicating and problem-solving together. I knew in that instant that I wanted to be part of the change made possible only in the outdoors.

I pursued degrees in Outdoor Education and Psychology, then spent the next 22 years working with renowned institutions in the outdoor education industry.

Now, with Trailblazing Outdoor Adventures, I've created a space where those transformations aren't reserved for specialized programs, but available to anyone ready to step onto the trail. Every expedition we lead is infused with that same belief: that the outdoors has the power to break down barriers, build confidence, and reveal what we're truly capable of when we're supported, challenged, and connected to something greater than ourselves.
