Testimonials.

“Prior to my GAP/C&O ride, I had only done one ride greater than 50 miles. I was anxious on the first day, questioning my life choices but with the encouragehhment of Jill and the rest of the group, I continued riding each day getting only stronger and more confident!  To say I learned a lot about myself and my abilities for long days in the saddle would be an understatement! I highly recommend Jill as a leader, guide, coach and motivator to anyone wanting to challenge their preconceived beliefs about themselves and embrace the idea you can do more than you imagine!! I can’t wait for my next boundary push!” - D Montero

The 4-day backpacking trip along the Four Pass Trail in Colorado was truly a trip of a lifetime. As a first-time backpacker, I wasn't sure what to expect, but this experience exceeded every expectation. The scenery was absolutely awe-inspiring, and Mother Nature threw everything at us - rain, snow, sleet, and glorious sunshine. Through it all, Jill's expert guidance and technical knowledge kept me feeling safe and supported, even when I was pushing myself mentally and physically beyond what I thought possible. What started as an adventure became so much more. I didn't just conquer a trail; I made a friend and discovered a strength I didn't know I had." - E. Bjork

“The idea of a 300+ mile bike trip in 7 days intimidated me, but Jill's coaching via emails & video chats helped motivate me to train for the trip-- core-strengthening exercises and long rides to prepare. Even though I'd only met Jill once before the trip, a few hours into our trip Jill already felt like a good friend. On our first day of biking, Jill's warm and lighthearted manner helped our group to quickly transform from a group of polite strangers to friends on vacation together, cheering each other on each accomplishment.I would definitely recommend Jill's guided trips and teaching to a friend! She's a competent,  experienced guide whose attention to detail made me feel confident as a novice on a long bike trip. On the day I woke up with no energy in my tank, Jill's warmth and compassion boosted my spirit and helped me rebound the next day to finish the trip and feel proud of my accomplishment.” -J. “Jill took me out for a two-day mountain bike clinic in Ridgway and Telluride. Instead of assuming I needed to start on beginner trails, I got to ride world-class trails because Jill asked insightful questions that allowed us to properly assess my skill, overall athletic ability, teachability, and risk-assessment abilities before we got on the gondola. Her instruction is short and sweet and she uses alliteration and comedy to make it really memorable. She is great about meeting learners where they are at: if you want push yourself, Jill will push you. If you want to keep things light and just try something new with friends, Jill will design a safe and low-pressure experience that prioritizes connection. I loved her ability to coach on the go: she will ride behind you and give you concise and single feedback that you are able to implement immediately without feeling overwhelmed by the information.  I am looking forward to my next Jill clinic!!” -E. “From our first day, Jill did an amazing job helping the group feel confident and comfortable with each other. Few of us knew each other, and we all had different biking experiences and goals for the trip, but she made us feel connected and supported through this immense challenge by each other and especially by her. I will definitely be going on more adventures led by Jill!” -Krista
